About the BMW K 1600 Grand America
Powered by a Euro 4 compliant 1,649cc six cylinder inline engine, producing 158.20bhp.
Essentially the BMW K1600 B with a top box, footboards as standard, Chrome engine bars under them, tall screen and reverse gear though weighs 28kg more.
Top speed is limited to 100mph in order to maintain stability with increased load at the rear of the bike.
The electrically adjustable suspension has several modes: "Road" which automatically adjusts itself, "Cruise" which offers gentle damping for comfort at low speeds. The reverse assist gives you a reverse gear for easy manoeuvring which is powered by the starter motor and operated from the left bar.
Optional Extras include a quickshifter, pillion footboards and armrests, intelligent emergency call, audio connection, navigation system, centre stand, keyless start, hill start control, low/high seats, LED front fog lights, tyre pressure monitor, cornering headlight and forged handlebars.
