About the BMW S1000RR HP4

Based on the S1000RR the HP4 is 9kg lighter and features a selection of improvements. Basically it is a factory superbike for the road, with a  price tag to match.

Apart from the substantial weight savings the Sachs "Semi-Active" suspension is the biggest enhancement over the standard model. The Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) system continually monitors riding style and adjusts front/rear damping settings accordingly.

There are four modes (rain, sport, race and slick) which change the power, anti-wheelie control and traction control.

There is also launch control system holds the engine at 8,000 rpm and works to prevent wheel spin and wheelies.

An optional Competition Package adds carbon fibre bodywork, race clutch and brake levers. It also includes racing stickers and blue wheels.
